Tremper's Strategic Plan . . .

We Invite You to Join Us

Every member of the Tremper Community is encouraged and invited to join our efforts.  We are assembling Action Teams to define specific plans for each of our five Tactics.  Read and reflect on the five Tactics.  If you are interested in joining any of those five Action Teams to bring meaning to the Tactics, then we NEED you to join us.

The Action Teams will create very specific plans, expectations and commitments for everybody at Tremper High School.  There will be five Action Teams with trained Tremper leaders that help guide each team to produce plans that support our Tactics.  The duration of commitment for these Action Teams is late February through mid-May 2006.  The product from each Action Team will be presented to the Tremper Site Planning Team for approval and adoption by the end of this school year.  After adoption, we will possess a clear plan of improvement for Tremper High School toward which everyone in the Tremper community will commit.

Action Team Leaders will be identified and shared with the Tremper Community via email and website posting by February 3.  We need to hear about your interest in working with Action Teams by Friday, February 10.  Seriously consider your interests and your skills as you decide to commit to developing the action steps for Tremper High School in each of the five areas of permanent improvement and commitment.  We want your input and need your perspective.  Your involvement does not necessarily need a high level of training, background or support.  We want everyone with passionate input to feel welcome to join us.

Thanks in advance for expressing your ideas toward our school improvement.

Ed Kupka, Principal

 Tremper High School

Student Learning No Matter What

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Tremper High School, a comprehensive and diverse learning community, is to empower every student to learn throughout life and to achieve personal success as a contributing citizen in the ever-changing global society, by providing a meaningful education through the supportive collaboration of all, for the good of all.

We Will Realize These Tremper Objectives…

  • By 2010 and thereafter, every Tremper High School student will meet the district and state identified proficiency levels for performance in math, reading, science and social studies.
  • Every Tremper High School student will meet our graduation requirements.
  • Every Tremper High School student will consistently demonstrate ethical, responsible, respectful behavior, and a commitment to service within the school or community.
  • Every Tremper High School student will make a successful transition to a meaningful career or further education, tailored to his or her interests, abilities and aspirations.

When We Complete Action Plans Supporting the Tremper Tactics…

  1. We will ensure district aligned curriculum is implemented in all subject areas with effective instructional methods and assessment practices.
  2. We will identify disengaged students and implement effective intervention strategies so that every student is actively involved in achieving our mission and objectives.
  3. We will develop a supportive climate throughout the school characterized by collaboration, communication and collegiality among staff, students, families and the community.
  4. We will actively engage our diverse learning community in demonstrating mutual respect, responsible and ethical behavior, and service within the school and community.
  5. We will develop and implement plans by which every student creates a transition plan for meaningful post-high school endeavors tailored to their abilities, interests and capabilities in partnership with families and community.
