CHEMISTRY (HONORS)

PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Biology (Honors), Algebra 2 (concurrent)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a laboratory-oriented course designed to develop an understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry. Topics include: the nature of matter, chemical and physical changes, atomic structure, chemical bonding, chemical formulas and equations, naming compounds, and the structure and properties of gases, liquids, and solids. Highly recommended for students considering science and engineering careers.
