ECOLOGY

PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Biology or Biology (Honors)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this course you will become an ecologist, a scientist who studies the living and nonliving components of the environment and the interactions of living organisms that affect biological species. As an ecologist you will study the web of life and how each strand interacts with each other, and how you fit into the web of life. The interactions of science, technology, and society with the environment will also be studied. Units include: ecosystems, a field study, biomes, biodiversity, and environmental pollution (water, air, chemical, and radiation)
