ORGANIC CHEMISTRY (HONORS)

PREREQUISITES: Chemistry (Honors) (grade of "B" or better)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is designed to give students preparing for work in chemistry, engineering, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine a basic knowledge of organic chemistry. This course is organized around the study of the important groups of organic compounds. Major emphasis is placed on the nomenclature, preparation reactions, and uses of the compounds studied.
