FORMS-All forms and fees must be turned into Ms. Sorensen in the athletic office by Wednesday February 27th, 2008.
There is a policy at Tremper regarding the forms and fees needed by athletes. These forms must be processed before you will be able to practice. You received either a purple or a pink form. Purple is for players who need to get a physical. Pink is the alternate year form for players whose physicals are less than two years old. After you have completed your forms, turn them and the required fees into Ms. Sorensen in the athletic office. You will be issued a practice permit. Coach Townsend must have this permit for you to try-out. Without this permit you WILL NOT be allowed to try-out. Get these forms done as soon as possible.
- Purple Physical Form – Doctor and parent/athlete signature required. (Make appointment ASAP)
- OR Pink Wavier Form – Parent/athlete signature required
- Risk of Injury – Athlete signature and parents signature required
- Catastrophic Insurance – Cost $3.25 (separate check payable to tremper high school required)
- Athletic Fees – Cost $55.00 (Separate check payable to tremper high school required)
- Athletic Code – Players and parents must attend the athletic code of conduct meeting for spring sports on Monday Feb 18th at 6:30 pm in the auditorium.
- Emergency Card – Emergency information with parent signature required. (both sides)
TRY-OUTS
- All paper work (Purple Physical Form or Pink Wavier Form, Risk of Injury, Catastrophic Insurance, User Fees, Athletic Code, and Emergency Card. All forms and fees due no later than Wednesday February 27th 2008. (See Ms, Sorensen in the athletic office for forms)
- Try-outs start March 10th 2008. (All forms must be in)
Making Team
- 14 to 16 Freshmen
- 14 to 16 Junior Varsity
- 12 to 14 Varsity
- Criteria will include skills essential to fast pitch softball, coordination, quickness, need for team balance, attitude, ability, potential, coach ability, dedication, scholastic standing, and knowledge of the game.
- ABSOLUTELY NO TRUANCY PROBLEMS
EXPECTATIONS
- Conduct herself as a lady on and off the field.
- The student / athlete are to follow all team rules.
- The student / athlete is to follow all classroom and school rules and policies
- The KUSD athletic code of conduct shall be enforced uniformly year round. Athletes will be expected to abide by provisions of the code of conduct out of season as well as in season.
COMMITMENT
- There is not a lot of time for jobs, their will be some Saturday games and practices.
- No Sunday games or practices.
- No excuses, for example: "I have to baby sit,” doctors appointments, teachers help. (Try to get help before school)
- Their will be practices over spring break, (If you are vacationing during spring break, it is your responsibility to let the coach know ahead of time).
- We hope that you are preparing yourself both physically and mentally for a successful season. We are also hoping that you are ready and willing to make a commitment to Tremper Softball.
