Chicago Cubs Third Baseman #17


Kristopher Lee Bryant, “Kris Bryant”, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 4, 1992. Bryant is 25 years of age, standing six feet and five inches, and is the Chicago Cubs third baseman.  Bryant was drafted in the first round of the 2013 Major League draft, being the second pick.

Making his Major League debut on April 17, 2015, going 0-4 with three strikeouts. The following day Bryant had his first MLB career RBI. He hit his first MLB career home run May 9th against the Milwaukee Brewers. Finishing the month of May in 2015, Bryant had a batting average of .265 , seven home runs, 22 RBI, 16 walks, and was awarded the National League Rookie of the Month.  Bryant was named the National League Rookie of the Year for 2015. Bryant played in the All Star game in 2015 and 2016. Along with winning the National League Hank Aaron award in 2016, Kris Bryant was also able to call himself a World Series Champion. The 2016 season was huge for Bryant; he was also named the National League MVP.  His numbers continue to rise hitting 94 home runs, 274 RBIs, his batting average was a .288, and had 28 stolen bases.

He is now married to Jessica Delp, his long-time girlfriend, dating since they were 16 years old. Bryant and Delp wedded on January 7th, 2017.
